1. Definitions

• "Mainspring" / "we" / "us" — the watch repair workshop operating at the address above.
• "Client" / "you" — any person who contacts Mainspring, books an appointment, or uses this website.
• "Services" — watch repair, regulation, overhaul, and strap or bracelet work described on this website.
• "Watch" — any timepiece submitted to Mainspring for assessment or service.
• "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions, together with any written service estimate or confirmation.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a contact form, telephoning the workshop, or delivering a watch for service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. Services are offered to individuals aged 18 and over who have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement.

If you are submitting a watch on behalf of another person or a business, you confirm that you have authority to agree on their behalf.

3. Service Description

Mainspring offers three core services: strap and bracelet care, movement regulation and timing, and comprehensive movement overhaul. Full descriptions and indicative pricing are available on the Solutions page of this website.

All services are carried out by hand in our Bangkok workshop. We do not subcontract work to third parties without your prior knowledge.

Service availability depends on the nature and condition of your watch, the availability of parts, and bench scheduling. We will advise you of any constraints before work begins.

4. Appointments and Estimates

• Appointments are arranged by telephone or email and confirmed in writing where possible.
• A written estimate will be provided before any substantive work begins. We will not proceed beyond assessment without your approval.
• If additional work becomes necessary once the watch is opened, we will contact you before proceeding. You may decline additional work without obligation for work not yet carried out.
• Completion times are estimates. Complex movements, part sourcing delays, or unforeseen wear may extend the timeframe. We will keep you informed of any significant change.
• Watches not collected within 60 days of notification may be subject to a storage handling charge. We will provide reasonable notice before any charge applies.

5. Payment

• Prices are quoted in Thai Baht (THB). Published indicative prices are subject to variation depending on the condition of the watch and parts required.
• Payment is due in full upon collection of the watch. We accept cash and bank transfer. Payment method details are provided at the time of appointment.
• If you choose not to proceed with work after an assessment has been carried out, a bench assessment fee may apply. This will be communicated to you in advance.
• Refunds or adjustments are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are dissatisfied with completed work, please contact us within seven days of collection to discuss.

6. Client Responsibilities

• You confirm that you are the rightful owner of any watch submitted for service, or that you have permission from the owner to submit it.
• Please inform us of any known damage, previous repairs, or unusual characteristics of your watch at the time of booking. This helps us prepare appropriately.
• Contact and collection details should be kept up to date. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect contact information.
• This website is for personal or business use related to arranging watch repair services. Use of the site in any manner that could disrupt or harm its operation is not permitted.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, imagery, design, and workshop documentation — is the property of Mainspring or used with appropriate permission. You may view and print content for personal reference. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without written consent is not permitted.

8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided with reasonable skill and care. We do not make specific representations about the outcome of any repair, as results depend on the age, condition, and design of each individual movement.

Older or heavily worn movements may have limitations that prevent a full return to specification. Where this is the case, it will be discussed with you before work proceeds.

This website is provided for information purposes. While we take care to keep content accurate, we make no representations regarding its completeness or suitability for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Mainspring's liability in connection with any service or use of this website is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of use, or consequential damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold Mainspring harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation regarding ownership of a submitted watch, or your unlawful use of this website.

11. Termination of Service

Either party may withdraw from a service agreement before work has commenced, without penalty. Once work has begun, costs reasonably incurred up to that point may be charged.

Mainspring reserves the right to decline or discontinue service where reasonable grounds exist, such as concerns about provenance of a submitted item.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us first to discuss the matter directly — most concerns can be resolved through straightforward conversation.

Where a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.

13. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement — These Terms, together with any written service estimate, constitute the full agreement between us for the relevant service.
• Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
• Waiver — Failure to enforce any provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision going forward.
• Assignment — You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our obligations in connection with a sale or restructuring of the workshop.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of this website or our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
