Mainspring is a small bench workshop on Silom Road. We take in mechanical watches for strap care, timing regulation, and thorough movement overhauls — and return them in honest order.

Strap & Bracelet Service
A bench appointment for strap and bracelet care. Leather replacement, spring bar removal and refit, link adjustment, clasp tension check, and cleaning of bracelet links. Appointments take roughly one to two hours.

Movement Regulation & Timing
A diagnostic and regulation session for watches that run fast or slow. The watch is placed on a timing machine, measured in multiple positions, and the regulator adjusted. A written timing report is provided, with a follow-up check after seven days.

Comprehensive Movement Overhaul
A thorough overhaul for higher-grade mechanical movements, including chronographs. Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection for wear, new mainspring and gaskets, lubrication with correct oils, reassembly, and case refresh. Final timing report and parts record included.

Loupe-Level Attention
Every watch is examined before any work is proposed. We look first, then discuss what we find — no assumptions.
Written Records
Timing reports and parts records are provided in writing at handover, so the watch's service history is documented for you.
Correct Lubricants
Movements are oiled with the right fluid for each component — not a single generic lubricant, but matched to each jewel and pivot.
Follow-Up Included
Regulation appointments include a seven-day follow-up timing check at no further charge, because we want to see how the watch settles.

We describe what we find and what we propose in clear terms. You make the decision; we carry out the work.

How do I arrange an appointment?
The simplest way is to call us at +66 89 472 6035 to describe your watch and agree on a suitable day. You can also use the contact form below and we'll follow up to arrange a time. We don't take walk-ins without prior arrangement.
What types of watches do you work on?
We work on mechanical and automatic movements — Swiss, Japanese, and some German calibres. Chronographs and calendar complications are accepted for overhaul where parts are available. We don't work on quartz movements or smartwatches.
How long does a movement overhaul take?
A comprehensive overhaul typically takes four to six weeks. The timeline can extend if parts need to be sourced. We'll give you a realistic estimate when the watch is examined and keep you informed of any changes.
Will you contact me before any work begins?
Yes. After examining the watch, we'll call or message to explain what we found and what we recommend. No work is started until you've agreed to the scope and the cost.
What does the follow-up timing check involve?
For regulation appointments, we ask you to bring the watch back seven days after collection. We place it on the timing machine again to see how the rate has settled under normal wear, and make any small adjustments needed. This is included in the service cost.
Are the prices on the website fixed?
The prices shown are the base rates for each service. Chronographs and complex movements may carry a supplement, which we'll discuss openly when the watch is examined. Strap service pricing may vary depending on the strap chosen from our selection.
